Since 2019, Hållnäs Konstkoloni has collaborated with Region Uppsala and Lithuanian residency centre DAR (Druskininkai Artists‘ Residence).  

So far, one artist from each country has participated in the collaboration, spending two weeks in either Hållnäs or Druskininkai. In total, 8 sound artists and composers have spent time working in either Hållnäs or Druskininkai within the exchange.

The participating artists work on their own project during their stay, either a new or an ongoing one. An important part of the residency, is to give opportunity for the local community to meet the artist. This can be an artist talk, a concert, a workshop or similar, depending on the artist’s wishes and other local events.
