We are a couple in the middle of life, who a few years ago dropped out of the big city treadmill. We moved in 2011 from London to Hållnäs, with the ambition to, amongst other things, create a space for interdisciplinary meetings and creative research close to nature. Here is a little bit of information about us as individuals:
Alex Peck has roots in the UK, a well-travelled chef, coach and former science teacher and classroom assistant with broad experience of working with young people within the autistic spectrum, as well as in outdoor education. Alex is interested in gardening, sustainable development and resilience. instagram.com/alexofthenorthcoast
Åsa Norling is a designer, artist and performance practitioner. She has worked as a set and costume designer on theatre, dance and opera productions, mostly in and around London. In recent years, she has worked outside of the theatre space with public art projects #möbleratierp in Tierp and STADSRÖRA in Norrtälje town. Åsa has also diverse experience of educational work – as art teacher at Kulturskolan Tierp and as Visiting Practitioner at the Performance Design and Practice undergraduate course at Central Saint Martins College in London, as well as leading various workshops for children and adults. Since 2021, Åsa is associated set and costume designer at Folkteatern Gävleborg. instagram.com/asanorling_scenkonst
